UN envoy, Somalia’s HirShabelle leader discuss range of issues

The president of Somalia’s HirShabelle regional state, Mohamed Abdi Waare, has received in his office a delegation led by the the UN envoy to Somalia, James Swan.

The UN envoy and the Somali official discussed humanitarian assistance to flood victims in Beledweyne, security and the progress of the UN projects being implemented in the region.

The African Union’s envoy to Somalia, who is also the head of the AU troops in the country AMISOM, Francisco Madeira, accompanied Mr Swan in the visit.
