The president of the self-declared Republic of Somaliland Muse Bihi Abdi is in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa.
Bihi and a delegation he was leading arrived in Addis Ababa on Sunday evening.
He was welcomed at Addis Ababa’s Bole International Airport by Ethiopian State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Aklilu Hailemichael.
The purpose of President Bihi’s visit to the Ethiopian capital is unclear. However, it comes at a time when Addis Ababa is hosting the African Union Summit.
Many leaders from the continent, including Somali President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo, are attending the AU summit.
