Somalia PM fires controversial NISA officials over misuse of power

Somalia Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Rooble on Friday fired senior NISA officials, who were Somali President righthand men, after Somali citizens were being illegally barred from leaving Mogadishu Airport

The move comes days after Somali Prime Minister instructed the country’s security agencies not to block outgoing lawmakers from vising to their constituencies, following complaints logged by politicians at the PM’s office.

Among those fired include NISA’s Human Resource Director Abdullahi Kullane and NISA Chief of Intelligence at Aden Adde Airport Abdiwahab Sh Ali who were both close to NISA chief Fahad Yasin and President Farmaajo.

”Following  the unauthorized prevention of citizens who were due to depart from Aden Ade International Airport, Somali PM H.E  MohamedHRoble has relieved of their duties NISA’s HR Director Abdullahi Kullane and NISA Chief of Intelligence at Aden Adde Airport,Abdiwahab Sh Ali.” Somali PM Mohamed Hussein Rooble said on twitter.

NISA senior officials including Fahad Yasin were allegedly part of the missing Somali recruits and NISA employees who the latest victim was a female  intelligence agent
