Somalia: Norway to reopen permanent diplomatic office in Mogadishu

The Norwegian ambassador to Somalia Ms. Elin Bergithe Rognlie said on Tuesday  that its government will reopen its diplomatic office in Mogadishu to facilitate official and service work, reaffirming that Norwegian Directorate of Immigration recognized the Somali passport.

The ambassador made the announcement shortly after meeting with Somali  State Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Balal Mohamed Cusman in Mogadishu, according to a statement released by the Somali ministry.

The Norwegian Ambassador Ms Rognile further stressed its country’s willingness to support the electoral process in Somalia.
