Somali president leaves for Asmara to meet Eritrean, Ethiopian leaders

Somali President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo has left for the Eritrean capital, Asmara, to attend a tripartite summit with the leaders of Eritrea and Ethiopia.

Upon arrival at the Asmara International Airport, President Farmajo was received by his Eritrean counterpart, Isaias Afwerki.

The three leaders are expected to discuss cooperation between the Horn of Africa countries and how to lay a strong foundation for greater integration between them.

President Farmajo’s visit to Eritrea is the second in less than three weeks.
