Somali premier tours Bakool, pledges development projects for region

Prime minister Hassan Ali Khayre and his delegation were warmly welcomed in Hudur town, the headquarters of Bakool region in southwestern Somalia.

The prime minister gave a speech at Waberi football stadium and praised the administration and people of Hudur district and the entire South West state for their great hospitality.

Prime Minister Kheyre commended the people of Hudur for their courage, unity against the enemy and their liberation of their town without any outside support.

He pledged that the federal government would undertake development projects, including  providing funds to rebuild Dr Waberi sports stadium in Hudur.

During his stay in Hudur, the prime minister met with community leaders and the Bakool regional administration officials, to listen to their briefing on the situation in the region and their recommendations for the recovery of the region and the country as a whole.

The prime minister was accompanied in his visit to Hudur by the South West regional state president, Abdiaziz Mohamed Laftagareen, the regional state ministers, parliamentarians, officials of the Bakool regional administration and the Hudur district administration.
