Somali premier donates $150,000 for stadium rehabilitation in Biadoa

Somali Prime Minister Hassan Ali Khayre yesterday donated $150,000 for the rehabilitation of a football stadium in Baidoa town, South West regional state.

In a press statement, the prime minister said that Dr Ayub Stadium will contribute to community integration, sports development and the creation of young talent with strong national representation at international and regional competitions.

South West state’s minister of sports, Ali Duh, thanked the prime minister for his financial support for the development of Dr Ayub Stadium in Baidoa.

Prime Minister Hassan Ali Khayre had earlier held talks with Baidoa community leaders and pledged to renovate the stadium, so that young people can have the opportunity to develop their sporting skills.

The prime minister urged the public to work with the South West state in the restoration of peace and stability in the region.
