Government forces close main roads in Mogadishu

MOGADISHU—The main roads in central Mogadishu were this morning closed by Somali government forces.

This closure comes as body of the late constitutional minister, Mr Abdirahman HoshJibril who is set to be buried later in the day, is expected to land from Dubai where he died on Friday.

The blocked roads are Ex-Control road in Afgoye and Sayid junction, pausing traffic. The barricaded roads will serve as pathway for the body of the late minister, escorted by senior government officials.

The closure of the roads caused traffic disruption as motorist are directed away from accessing city center.

Abdi Hosh suddenly died at hospital in the United Arab Emirates on Friday morning.

Government officials and Jibril family have not given any details on the causes of his death.
