MOGADISHU—Banaadir Governor, Eng. Abdirahman Omar Osman went to the streets to hold talks with angry protesters that started chaos in Somalis capital, Mogadishu.
Hell broke loose in Mogadishu today after the killing of an auto rickshaw driver and his passenger by a police officer. Taxi drivers disrupted the city’s operation demanding justice for the deceased.
Osman asked the youthful protesters to calm down and stop the violent demonstration they begun in the capital.
He promised them that the police officer that initiated the killing will be brought to book as soon as the protests rest. He advised the youth to stop destructions and safeguard the peace of the nation.
“I urge you all to respect the laws of the land and remember that this country belongs to you all. Kindly refrain from burning tires in the streets,” Oman said.
